LAFAYETTE TOWNSHIP ZONING COMMISSION
Workshop - 6776 Wedgewood Road
January 28, 2008 @ 7:00 p.m.
Chairman Karen Schoonover called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Roll call indicated five members of the Zoning
Commission were present: Karen Schoonover, Russ Green, Sherri Meinke, Dianne Wenslow and Peggy Folk
(alternate). Mike Biskup was absent. Others in attendance included Zoning Inspector Alliss Strogin, Attorney Doug
Drushal (Wooster), Gary Sills (Irvine, CA), Lynn Snyder (Wooster), Attorney John C. Oberholtzer (Medina), Keith Riedel
(165 Rockridge), Barb Hunter (384 Craggy Creek), Board of Zoning Appeals Vice Chair David Parker (6418 Lafayette
Road) and Susan Hirsch (Deputy Director, Medina County Department of Planning Services).
Workshop Discussion
Discussion took place relative to MCDPS Draft Update 1/16/08 pertaining to the Amendment to Zoning Resolution of
Lafayette Township proposed text Section 308 Chippewa Resort Overlay (CRO) District. The MCDPS Deputy Director
Susan Hirsch, the Chippewa Resort applicants/attorneys and the Zoning Commission reviewed page by page the Draft
Update 1/16/08 text amendment language. Input was received from all persons present. Revisions to the text
language were suggested and discussed. Susan Hirsch will incorporate the revisions into the draft text language and
forward to the board and appropriate parties prior to the zoning commission’s regular meeting on 2/5/08.

- Next regular meeting is Tuesday, February 5, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. at the town hall.

Upon motion by Karen Schoonover, duly seconded by Sherri Meinke, it was unanimous that the meeting be adjourned.
