LAFAYETTE TOWNSHIP ZONING COMMISSION
Special Meeting for General Business - 6776 Wedgewood Road
March 13, 2008 @ 7:00 p.m.
Chairman Karen Schoonover called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Roll call indicated five members of the Zoning
Commission were present: Karen Schoonover, Dianne Wenslow, Sherri Meinke, Russ Green and Mike Biskup. Peggy
Folk (alternate) arrived late. Also in attendance: Attorney Doug Drushal (Wooster), Gary Sills (Chippewa Partners),
Paul Calvo (6815 Lafayette Road) and Jack Chester (5211 Columbia Road).
Old Business
Chair Schoonover indicated that the meeting tonight would be relative to the map amendment for the Chippewa Resort
Overlay District. The zoning map amendment can be submitted at the time the site plan is submitted to MCDPS but it
had been suggested that the map amendment be submitted at this time. If the map amendment is submitted at this
time, Medina County Planning Commission can have it on their April 2, 2008, meeting agenda. The board proceeded to
discuss the proposed map amendment.
Chair Schoonover made a motion to submit the application for zoning map amendment by the Lafayette Township
Zoning Commission relative to Chippewa Resort Overlay (CRO) District to MCDPS and to A.P. William L. Thorne for
review.
Mike Biskup seconded the motion. The motion unanimously passed.
Announcements
The Zoning Commission will have a workshop on Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. at the Lafayette Township Hall,
6776 Wedgewood Road, Medina, Ohio.
Adjournment
Upon motion by Karen Schoonover, duly seconded by Dianne Wenslow, it was unanimous that the meeting be
adjourned. Adjourned at 7:10 p.m.
