LAFAYETTE TOWNSHIP BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS

Special Meeting for General Business and Sign Minutes

6776 Wedgewood Road, Medina, Ohio

August 7, 2008, at 7:00 p.m.

 

Chair Andrea Kacinari called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.  Roll call indicated five members of the Board of Zoning Appeals were present:  Dave Parker, Jack Blank, Mark Riffle, Andrea Kacinari and Paul Calvo (alternate).  Nanci Shanley and Jack Chester (alternate) were absent.  Zoning Inspector Alliss Strogin was also present.

 

Minutes

Upon motion by Jack Blank, duly seconded by Dave Parker, the minutes of the July 3, 2008, regular meeting was unanimously approved and signed.

 

Upon motion by Dave Parker, duly seconded by Mark Riffle, the minutes from the July 22, 2008, public hearing pertaining to the Brenda Scott-Stormer variance was unanimously approved and signed.

 

Upon motion by Andrea Kacinari, duly seconded by Jack Blank, the minutes from the July 23, 2008, public hearing pertaining to the Medina Country Club – North PUD Subdivision Conditional Zoning Certificate/Site Plan was unanimously approved and signed.

Old Business

The Chair announced that the revised Preliminary Plan for Medina Country Club – North PUD Subdivision was received and that it also showed the landscape plan for the entire subdivision – both as required as conditions of the approval for this subdivision given on July 23, 2008.  The Board members reviewed the revised Preliminary Plan and ascertained that the two items had been removed as requested by the BZA. Zoning Inspector Alliss Strogin reviewed with the Board members the revised plan and the landscape plan for the subdivision and everyone was satisfied that it met the requirements as the BZA had requested.

 

Mark Riffle made a motion to approve the revised Preliminary Plan for Medina Country Club – North PUD Subdivision and the landscape plan as shown.  Dave Parker seconded the motion.

The motion was approved.

 

New Business

None

 

Announcements

-         Next regular meeting of the BZA is Thursday, October 2, 2008, at 7 p.m. unless an application is received for a variance/conditional use that requires the scheduling of a public hearing. 

-         Lafayette Township Trustees August meeting is rescheduled from August 18, 2008, at 7 p.m. to Monday, August 11, 2008, at 5:30 p.m. at the township hall.

 

Adjournment

Upon motion by Mark Riffle, seconded by Paul Calvo, it was unanimously approved that the meeting be adjourned.  Meeting adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
